Two Creative Industries students accompanied two of their lecturers to the Scottish Parliament recently (26/09/17) to showcase their skills.
Shannon Goundry and Meghan Bain – both second year BA Digital Media students – joined Gail English and Joanna MacIntyre at the special reception which allowed Scottish creative students to demonstrate how they were working towards building skills for the future creative convergent media sector.
Joanna, said:
“The students were amazing at showcasing our work and they joined Gail and I as we spoke with the Education Secretary John Swinney. We discussed the skills being taught such as, video production, radio, web, writing for the media and enterprising skills. In addition, we discussed external projects that the students are frequently requested to get involved in and the opportunities this presents for them. We also discussed Connect Forth Radio and TV station with many other patrons. It was a great event and very worthwhile.”
