Evening class artists at Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus showed their work at a special exhibition.

The event was called 'Pop-Up Exhibition - work by evening class members in Stirling Campus' and was held on the evening of Tuesday 24 April.

Lesleyanne Derks, a FVC Creative Industries Lecturer, said: “The initial idea came from class students asking what other options were available for evening classes that they could progress onto. As the majority of classes ran at the same time there was no real opportunity to view other people’s work properly.

“I also felt many were ready to exhibit, but may not have the confidence or opportunity to show their work and this would be a good stepping stone for them.

“The event went really well with around 30 students taking part bringing their family and friends. The exhibition gave the students the opportunity to mix with each other and discuss their works as well as discussing their work with family and friends.  It was initially meant to be a pop up show for the night, but was kept up for a couple of days to allow others to view it.”
