Two electricians have landed on their feet at Forth Valley College’s Falkirk Campus to study for the CompEx 01-04 Gas and Vapours Working in Hazardous Areas course.
The Balfour Beatty employees who are based at Rosyth working on the two new Royal Navy aircraft carriers, have been delighted with the facilities and lecturers at the state-of-the-art FVC CompEx Training Centre.
And they are keen to spread the word with their colleagues about how good the new award winning team and the facilities are at the Forth Valley College CompEx Training Centre at the Falkirk Campus.
Scott (35) said:
“I will be telling everyone – especially those I work with at Balfour Beatty - about how good this CompEx course is and I cannot fault it at all. It is intense, but it is very professionally delivered and the lecturers make you feel at ease.
“I am more confident in the workshop than in the classroom, but Alistair’s teaching has been great and he explains things very well. I would definitely recommend it.”
Daniel (29), said:
“It really has been taught very well and the facilities and the lecturer have been brilliant. Just knowing that the lecturers were there to help you makes you feel relaxed. They really want you to pass.
“I too will also be delighted to tell my colleagues about this course. I would recommend anyone in this industry to come here and study these CompEx courses at Forth Valley College.”
Alistair McKean, FVC CompEx lecturer, said:
“The CompEx 01-04 Hazardous area inspection and installation course is a very challenging one for anyone working in this industry, and it was great to welcome Scott and Daniel to our training centre. They have been great students.
“We are really glad they will both be returning to their workplace and telling their colleagues that this is a good training centre. We look forward to hearing from them soon, so we can show them what we can offer.”
