Provost Award for Andrew

Forth Valley College’s Depute Principal Andrew Lawson has been presented with a prestigious Stirling Council award.

Mr Lawson received the Provost’s Civic Award in the Academic category at a formal awards ceremony held at Stirling Castle on Friday 26 October.

Commenting on the award, Andrew, said: “I am honoured, and very proud to receive this Provost Civic Award in recognition of my contribution to the college sector.”

The awards are presented to individuals, groups or organisations who have made significant contributions to local communities, or who have achieved national recognition in their field.

Provost Christine Simpson is seen here congratulating Andrew at the ceremony held at Stirling Castle recently.

Provost Simpson said:  “There are so many talented individuals living and working in the Stirling area, and often their hard work goes unnoticed or unrewarded. It's so important to recognise people like Andrew Lawson and to encourage others to replicate their efforts.”
