Forth Valley College CompEx Commercial Trainer Danielle Abbott visited Banchory Primary School in Tullibody recently to speak to Primary 5 pupils about Electrical Engineering.
As part of their Career Week project the youngsters were treated to an informative and fun presentation from Danielle on Tuesday 20 March.
Danielle, said: "I really enjoyed going into the school and delivering a presentation on Electrical Engineering to the children. Children with good mathematical and problem solving skills can make great engineers and this should be encouraged from a young age. It was good to show that not all engineers are men and that it is a real possibility as a future career for the girls too."
Teacher Lindsay MacKinnon, said: “All the children really enjoyed the session and a few of them who hadn't considered this as an option before, were actually inspired to look into the skills and qualities needed for the job.”
