Craig Eddie – Winner of the tenth series of the Voice UK – returned this week to echo the sentiments of his last Stirling Campus visit in September, to record his latest single at the College’s sound production studios.

On the evening of Tuesday 6 December, students from the Sound Production, Media and Photography courses helped FVC Lecturer Barry Frame to support Craig (pictured here far right), who recorded Warning Signs, which will be available on all major streaming platforms.

The Voice veteran from New Carron, Falkirk had been impressed with the facilities on his previous visit, but was even more impressed with the support he received from staff and students, this time around.

Craig (24), said: "I was thrilled to be part of this recording session at Forth Valley College's Stirling Campus recording studios. The experience was on par with other professional studios that I have been in."

FVC Sound Production Lecturer Barry Frame, said: “It was an absolutely great recording session with Craig Eddie and the students were thrilled. Not only did I manage to get sound production students involved, but word spread to Media Lecturer Joanna Macintyre and Photography Lecturer Fiona Read, who managed to recruit some of their students to support in the process.

“The recordings sound great and Craig cannot wait to come back. He and I are going to collaborate on other personal projects too, as we both share a similar passion for music. The students loved the experience and got some great content. Sound production students said it was a highlight of their College experience so far and they gained so much from it.

“Students helped set up microphones, took care of cabling and placement and asked many, many questions whilst Craig was recording. Media and Photography students filmed and photographed the whole performance, which should be available for viewing after Christmas.

“The main recording was a stripped back acoustic version of his latest single Warning Signs, which will be available from all major streaming platforms. What a voice this guy has.”
