College is committed to ‘Good Fundraising’
Fundraising standard

Forth Valley College has become the first further education college in Scotland to sign up to the ‘Fundraising Guarantee’ – a set of standards published by the Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel.

The standards are designed to  provide supporters of charities registered in Scotland with information on values, culture and practices, ultimately highlighting how they should be treated throughout their donor experience.

Receiving approval from the Scottish Fundraising Standards Panel now means Forth Valley College can use the ‘We’re Committed to Good Fundraising’ logo further enhancing its drive to ensure its fundraising activity is achieving high standards. .

This new standard adds to FVC’s Disability Confident and UK Living Wage Employer accreditations.

Pauline Barnaby, FVC’s Development and Fundraising Manager, said: “We are delighted to receive approval to use the Good Fundraising logo.  We have had some great successes with our fundraising activity and our commitment to achieving high standards and good practice is demonstrated through signing up to the guarantee.

“Our fundraising supports additional activity that benefits our learners – making a positive impact on their time at FVC and for their next steps into the world of work or futher training and study. Our generous supporters are key to this success and the Fundraising Guarantee reflects the importance we place on ensuring they have a positive, professional experience.”
