As Scottish colleges and universities begin to welcome students back from summer break, Forth Valley College are backing an online campaign - #vaccines4students - to remind them of the free vaccinations provided by NHS Scotland.
With term restarting and students starting to mix closely, the College wants to remind all students of the vaccines – not just Covid 19 - they should be up-to-date with and ensure as many students as possible are protected from serious, vaccine preventable diseases.
NHS Scotland, Public Health Scotland and Colleges Scotland are seeking help from college support workers and lecturers to reminding students that getting vaccinated is the best way to help protect themselves and others – as infectious diseases can spread easily in university and college communities.
More face to face contact means there's a higher risk of students catching and passing on infectious diseases, so it’s really important for all eligible students to ensure they're up-to-date with their vaccines for:
- Coronavirus (Covid 19)
- Measels, mumps and rubella (MMR)
- Human Paillomavirus (HPV)
- Meningitis ACWY (MenACWY)
