A Chinese delegation visited Forth Valley College’s Falkirk Campus recently on a research trip to find out more about collaborative business opportunities.
The five strong group from Guangxi Electrical Polytechnic Institute, Mr Chen Junwei Party Secretary, Ms. Li Canmei Director of Faculty Office, Mr. Liang Yan Director of Logistics Management/Director of the New Campus Construction Headquarters Office, Ms. Quan Xizhen Director of Finance and Management and Mr. Wei Shu Director of Electronic and Information Engineering, had also visited Oxford University and the University of West London as part of their UK trip.
They were given two presentations, one from Head of Electrical, Instrumentation and Chemical Engineering Dean Williams, who gave an overview of the college, outlined the courses on offer, the partnerships the College has - both locally and internationally - and its links to industry. And the second was from FVC’s Modern Apprentice (MA) Manager (INEOS) Lorna Allison, who gave an overview of the MA programme.
The delegation were also given a tour of the college - focussing on the electrical engineering workshops in particular.
