Staff and students from Forth Valley College are warming up their signing voices to wow crowds in the Alloa Musical Players’ production of Evita at the Alloa Town Hall (7-11 March).
The Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice classic – which tells the story of Eva Peron the second wife of 50s Argentine President Juan Peron – is sure to bring the house down during its run, especially with popular tunes such as ‘Don’t Cry for me Argentina’ included in the show.
Current and former FVC students Ashleigh Fenwick (BA Digital Media), Siobhan Murray (former BA Media and Communication student), Paige Allen (former HNC Early Education) and Leanne Cook (HND accountancy – not pictured here) as well as staff members Leona Reiter from Student Records and Rob McDermott from Curriculum and Quality – will all be signing, dancing and acting in the show.
Rob, who has been a stalwart of the Alloa Musical Players for many years, said: “It is great to see some current students getting involved in this latest production from the Alloa Musical Players and I am always delighted to see the group go from strength to strength.
“I am particularly excited about Evita and can’t wait for the curtain to open at the Alloa Town Hall on Tuesday 7 March. It promises to be a cracker and I would encourage any student or staff member at the college and beyond to come along and enjoy a great night of entertainment.”
