Corridors at Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus have been adorned by a stunning selection of signed Alan Davie prints.

The collection belongs to a member of staff who wishes to remain anonymous, but was happy to allow the 20 prints of work by the famous Grangemouth born artist, to brighten the walls of the campus for a few weeks through the summer.

Trevor Griffin, a Technician in the Creative Industries Department, said; “With the summer break upon us and most of the students having taken their work home after the end of year show, we are always looking for something new and artistic to put up on the walls.

“Alan Davie was an under-appreciated genius, who was right up there with global artists such as abstract expressionist painters Jackson Pollock and Joan Miro and was well respected in his field. This collection of signed limited edition prints are fabulous and we are really excited to see them displayed in the Stirling Campus. It is the first time they have all been displayed together and we love having them up on the walls for all to see over the summer.”
