2021/22 Students
Important Update for Students - Session 20/21 & 21/22
Due to the impact of COVID -19 and in line with the latest Scottish Government Guidance, the College now has detailed plans in place to ensure that all our students have every opportunity to achieve their qualifications and to progress either within the College or into work/advanced level study.
Courses to be extended
We have taken the decision to extend the end date of the academic year for some courses to ensure students have enough time to complete the required practical learning for their course.
Opportunity to repeat session 20/21
For a small number of practical based courses, which have been severely impacted by lockdown restrictions, we have taken the decision to offer students the opportunity to repeat the academic year starting in August 2021.
Courses currently impacted include:
- C&G Certificate in Hairdressing Level 2 (Alloa/Falkirk/Raploch)
- C&G Certificate in Hairdressing Level 3 (Ralpoch)
- NC Level 6 Beauty Care (Alloa/Falkirk)
- NC Level 5 Beauty Care and Make-up (Alloa/Raploch)
- NC Level 6 Make-up Artistry (Alloa/Raploch)
- HND Beauty Therapy (Falkirk)
- HND Make-up Artistry (Falkirk)
This page will be updated if there are any further additions.
Unfortunately, this decision will impact on those who have applied to study with us for session 2021/22 and we are currently in the process of contacting these applicants directly. Our Learner Advisory Team are on hand to help any applicants assess their options.
Next Steps
Please note that if you are affected by either of these decisions, you will be contacted directly by your department.
All other courses will complete their academic year as planned on Friday 18 June 2021.
