Being practically orientated, the course will contain the following subjects:
- Sport and Fitness: Coaching Development
- Sports Officiating and Organising: Indoor Football
- Sporting Activity Participation and Performance: Indoor Football

The NPA award provides practical opportunities to; Understand and apply the roles and functions of a Sports Coach; Use communication and leadership styles required to conduct activity sessions; Lead physical activity sessions; Plan, implement and review activity sessions as part of a team; Organise and Officiate planned sporting activities. The award is designed to articulate with current college Sports Coaching and Development provision and to support those who may wish to follow, in future, that particular employment pathway.
The NPA will provide you with opportunity to:
• Gain an introductory insight and knowledge of the sports coaching industry. • Develop an educational path to higher level study in sport. • Build your confidence and learning skills. • Develop your employable skills, such as; Teamwork, Communication, Problem Solving, Timekeeping and Leadership.
Attendance: Falkirk Campus: Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from August until June for one year.
