BSc (Hons) Applied Computing - Year 2

The BSC (Hons) in Applied Computing is a unique and exciting opportunity which will kick start careers in one of Scotland’s most thriving industries.

The degree has been developed with input from employers across the Scottish ICT community and will deliver the skills to take advantage of the 11,000 job opportunities available each year. 

Students will develop skills in key ICT areas with a focus on software development and analytical skills.   There will be an emphasis on employability skills and industrial awareness to ensure graduates are ‘work-ready’ on completion of their course.

  • Year 2 entry may be available for applicants who currently have or are working towards an HNC Computing and who achieve an A or B in their graded unit

  • Entry is subject to interview and units completed within the applicant's HNC programme

Further advice for full-time applicants:

  • Please ensure you have an online account before starting your application.
  • If you created your account prior to September 2016, you will need to register a new account.
  • Before starting the application process, please ensure you already hold or are working towards the relevant entry qualifications required for the course you are applying for 
  • Ensure you use your own personal email address when creating your online account

  • If your application is successful, you will be invited for interview. For January start courses interviews will be in Nov/Dec and interviews for August start courses will take place between February and May
  • If your application is unsuccessful, you will be offered support in finding a suitable alternative course
