CompEx Gas & Vapours (Ex01-04)

CompEx 01-04 provides candidates with the relevant training and practical assessments on the installation, maintenance and inspection of electrical and instrumental systems in a flammable gas, vapour or mist environment. Our training facilities are unique and custom built to include a realistic working environment and simulated hazardous areas. The 5 day course is split into separate theory and practical elements and candidates will be assessed in each followed by a multiple choice question paper. Successful completion of this course will result in an industry wide recognised certificate of competency validation.

From 1 April 2019, Compex have introduced the CompEx ID card as mandatory, the cost of this is £25 and is included in our price of £995pp.

All candidates must report to our Falkirk Campus reception at 8.30am on the first day of training.

Candidates are required to bring the following to the course:

Proof of electrical/instrument qualification i.a.w JTL925 which should be original copies of the following:

• SJIB/JIB Card
• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (Electrical) qualifications
• Recognised Apprenticeship Certificate
• Completed Company Letter signed by TA

 If unable to provide any of the above documents, please complete a company letter before attending.

 Photographic ID which should be either of the following:

• SJIB/JIB Card
• Passport
• Driver’s Licence

 Note of your National Insurance Number

P.P.E Minimum: Overalls & Safety footwear.

This course is eligible for ITA funding. If you wish to use ITA funding towards the cost of this course, you must first apply for the ITA funding through the My World of Work website. • Ex04: Inspection and maintenance of Ex i systems

 Further advice for evening applicants:

- Course places are only secured after payment/funding has been arranged.

- Fees of less than £150 must be paid in full.

- Payment by instalment is available, provided the course fee is greater than £150. Instalments must be paid via direct debit over a 4-month period and a 30% deposit is required in order to secure your place. You will not be able to apply online if paying by direct debit, please contact Evening Admissions.

- If a student fails to notify the College that they no longer require their course place, or withdraws from their course within 2 weeks - a £25 administration fee will be charged. As per the College Tuition Fees and Refund Policy, tuition fees are non-refundable except under exceptional circumstances.

- Refunds will only be given if the course is cancelled or significantly altered by the College.
