Advanced Screen Printing - Evening

Students will be given a brief to either design an events poster or produce an arts-based print. They will then prepare colour-separated print-ready artwork for screen-printing their design. The aim will be for students to create a short run edition of multi-colour layered screen-prints produced to a high standard. With assistance and guidance provided, each learner will take responsibility for all stages involved throughout the artwork and print processes, and gain a good insight into all aspects of working professionally within this area.

Course time will be split between the printing facilities within the print room and computer-based classes for preparing designs/artwork.

Any time remaining after the main course project is completed will be used for either learning/exploring further advanced screen-printing techniques (such as split fountain use, stencil masking, CMYK printing) or undertaking personal print projects.

This course will help develop more advanced knowledge and skills which will be useful to those considering further study in art and design.

An interest / ability in graphic design, along with some basic knowledge of Photoshop is recommended - although help and support will be provided in these areas.

Prior experience of screen-printing would be a requirement (See our ‘Intermediate Screen-Printing’ course).

Course places are only secured after payment/funding has been arranged. 

As per the College Tuition Fees and Refund Policy, tuition fees are non-refundable except under exceptional circumstances.

Student Paying

Fees of less than £150 must be paid in full. Payment by instalment is available, provided the course fee is greater than £150.

Instalments must be paid via direct debit over a 4-month period and an initial 30% deposit is required in order to secure your place. You will not be able to apply online if paying by direct debit, you must contact Evening Admissions by email at - eveninginfo@forthvalley.ac.uk

Employer Paying

If your employer is paying for your tuition fees, an Employers Agreement form or letter from your employer must be submitted prior to or on enrolment. You can access the Employer Agreement form here and this should be returned to evening admissions -eveninginfo@forthvalley.ac.uk

Refunds will only be given if the course is cancelled or significantly altered by the College. Please refer to our Tuition Fee and Withdrawal procedure for further information.
