• Preparation for Laboratory Technician Work

  This course includes units from SCQF Level 6 and 7 Chemistry, Maths and Biology, providing the skills required to become a lab technician or study science further. Using state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, this course provides valuable experience, knowledge and technical skills for working in a science lab environment including invaluable up to date working knowledge of cGXP. There is a strong emphasis on the development of good technical skills through practical work, lectures and case studies.
  
  This course is aimed at enabling students to secure employment in science-related industry sectors and/or to advance on to HNC, HND or degree level study. Successful completion of this course will give students a SQA National Progression Award in Laboratory Science.
