This new and exciting course provides an insight into the world of travel, tourism and hospitality. You will gain a wide range of transferrable skills to equip you for employment in this vibrant sector.

The course will provide the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare you for employment within aviation and ground operations in airports, in addition, you will explore the skills required to be a resort representative. You will be introduced to the different styles of resort work, with key knowledge relating to performing airport transfers and resort welcome meetings.

C&G Introduction to Hair & Beauty (Schools)

Designed to build on the candidates’ interest and passion for the Hair and Beauty Industry, an Introduction to the Hair and Beauty Sector provides candidates with an ideal, practical introduction to prepare them for further learning or training.

Units covered include:

• Introduction to the hair & beauty sector
• Presenting a professional image in the salon
• Shampoo & condition the hair & scalp
• Styling woman’s hair 
• Plaiting & twisting

There will also be the opportunity of selecting and achieving additional units such as:

• Skin care
• Hand care
• Manicure

This exciting new six week course has been specifically designed to meet the work and study aspirations of low income Clackmannanshire residents who are considering a career in care. With attendance times at college that will suit parents and the opportunity for catered breakfast and lunch, you will meet like-minded learners. Our experienced college team will work with you to build your confidence and skills on your first steps towards a career and study path in the vibrant area of Health and Social Care.
