  • 18th Edition City & Guilds 2382-22 - Evening

    This course is now offered including the latest update to include Amendment 2 released in March 2022 and is an essential qualification for anyone working in the electrical industry.

    If you're a practising electrician, or someone interested in upskilling their knowledge in requirements for electrical installations this course will enhance your understanding in this key area of Electrical Safety.

    Forth Valley College offer this course at a very competitive price of £430 which includes providing you with a copy of the wiring regulations. BS7671:2018+A2:2022

    This course forms the national standard to which all new and amended electrical installations in the UK are to comply.

    This course will run from 30 August - 15 September running three consecutive Tuesday and Thursday evenings. 
    Course times are 5.30pm - 8.30pm each evening

    Using ITA?

    This course is eligible for ITA funding. If you wish to use ITA funding towards the cost of this course, you must first apply for the ITA funding through the My World of Work website. Once you’ve applied for funding, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions on how to book your course.

  • A Brief Introduction To Colour - Evening

    A relaxed and interesting look at colour through a series of art exercises. You will come away with knowledge on the history as well as practical manipulation of colour. You don’t have to have any art experience to attend. Perfect for those who struggle when it comes to mixing colours, or if you like to play with paint!

  • Access to Chemical Engineering – Evening, Hybrid Delivery

    This brand new offering provides the first step towards a career or further study in Chemical Engineering.

    The access course is rated at SCQF Level 6, it is recommended that the applicant has completed mathematics to National 5 level and has some science experience, preferably in Chemistry or Physics. However, it is possible to begin this course without this prior learning if the candidate is enthusiastic and motivated.

    The delivery will primarily be through live online classes to allowing candidates the flexibility to fit attendance around busy work schedules, lifestyles or family commitments. Delivery will also include monthly face to face classes on our state of the art Falkirk Campus. The purpose of the monthly on-campus lesson is to provide the opportunity for face to face tuition, practical work and unit assessments.   • Advanced Screen Printing - Evening

    This course will look at creating multi-colour layered screen prints, from the initial design process through to the final production of posters and/or arts-based prints.

  • Applied Forensic Science - Evening

    This course takes a hands-on approach to the science of forensic investigation. The emphasis is on doing rather than theory and covers topics such as fingerprint recovery and identification, blood detection and analysis, DNA extraction and analysis.

    This course will be delivered on Wednesday evenings.

    The College has a requirement to complete a residency check on all non-UK nationals for tuition fee purposes. When you book and pay for your course online, please be aware that you will be contacted by a member of our Student Administration team and asked to provide documents i.e. a copy of your passport; proof of your settlement status and EU share code.

    Following assessment of evidence, if you do not meet the criteria for ‘home fee status’, you will contacted and advised of any additional fee required.

    EU Nationals

    If you are currently living in the UK then you should have already applied for the EU Settlement Scheme which will allow you to continue living in the UK.
