    This multimedia course is designed to support students who wish to pursue a career in the vibrant, fast paced media industry. Students will develop skills across a range of media specialisms including television, film, radio, print and online.

    They will explore the tools, applications and industry practice of the digital environment, creating content and sharing it across a range of platforms.  With a strong focus on practical skills the course will also develop an in-depth understanding of ethical and legal considerations of working within the media industry.

    The programme combines the technical and theoretical media skills and industry insights of the Forth Valley College staff team, with the advanced academic training and up-to-date digital expertise of the University of Stirling.

    The first two years of this course is delivered at our Stirling Campus.

    During the first two years, there will be regular transition sessions at the University of Stirling.

    Please note, we offer this course for Year One or Year Two entry.

  • BA (Hons) Heritage and Tourism (University of Stirling)

    Planning a career in heritage, travel or tourism? Our Heritage and Tourism degree is the perfect place to start your professional journey.

    If you have aspirations of working in the heritage, conservation or tourism sectors, our dedicated Heritage and Tourism degree is the perfect starting point. This course is a fully integrated degree taught in partnership between Forth Valley College and the University of Stirling. You'll spend the first two years studying at the College and the final two studying at the University of Stirling campus, whilst benefitting from dual registration and the full range of our combined resources and facilities. 

    The aims of this award are to develop a knowledge of study, research and analysis, with an ability to define and solve problems. Students will develop key skills and knowledge in marketing and customer service, as applied to the travel and tourism sector. They will develop product knowledge of the home market, or international destinations. They will develop an understanding of the Heritage and Tourism industry, how it is structured and how it operates.

    Students will develop a more in-depth understanding and application of marketing and management competences, in the travel and tourism context of tour operations and selected specialist areas e.g. visitor attractions, airline and airport operations, business or retail travel, whilst considering the key issue of sustainability.
