Xana Harding (21) from Alloa has just completed the HND Beauty Therapy course at Forth Valley College and is sure it’s been one of the best things she’s ever done.

She said: “I chose Forth Valley College because I’d heard good things from previous students about their time there, and also because the College had a wide range of courses to choose from.

“All the lecturers and support staff are amazing. Every lecturer I’ve had throughout my three years at the College, has been amazing and so helpful. The College also has great facilities, and the salons are very modern with a wide range of machinery.

“It really has benefitted me as I now feel ready to start my career. I feel that the course has given me a well-rounded knowledge of all things beauty, but also an insight into how to run my own business.

“The course has helped me move onto the next step of my career, as I was provided with business workshops through the year to help me when running my business. I also feel that I have an extensive knowledge of all things beauty.

“I would recommend the College it as I think that FVC has a course to suit almost anyone in whatever sector they wish to go into. The beauty courses provide a training in a wide range of treatments, so everyone can find their niche.

“The best bit for me has definitely been meeting all the people throughout my time there. I have made so many great friends and the lectures have all been so amazing and supportive.

“I couldn’t recommend college enough. I really struggled with the school environment, but College has been so different for me. It is a lot more relaxed and I felt a lot more in control of how I was learning. I was very apprehensive when I first started, but it is the best thing I could have done.

“What I loved the most about my time at College was the overall experience. I really enjoyed the College lifestyle and will miss the routine and structure it gave me. Being surrounded by amazing people three days a week made the workload a lot more bearable.”
