Forth Valley College’s Hospitality Modern Apprentice (MA) speaks very highly of the training available at the College.
Former FVC MA student Ross McMillan (22) from Tillicoultry who has worked at the Stirling Management Centre for several years and won several cookery competition and MA awards while training, said: “Now that I am fully qualified I have more responsibility in the kitchen and that is a challenge that I relish and is what I live for.
“I have really benefited from the MA approach and working full-time while gaining my qualification. Full-time education is not for everyone and I found it easier to be in the workplace while working towards my qualification.
“I came here through the Hospitality Profession Programme and worked at the Stirling Management Centre one day a week while still at school. I really enjoyed it and was offered a full-time job and was able to study for my MA qualification through Forth Valley College. I would thoroughly recommend this career progression to anyone considering a career in hospitality as long as they are prepared to put the hard work in.”
