Hospitality Lecturer Paul Cunningham joined the College in 2014.
The HND Hospitality Management and BA (Hons) graduate's industrial experience consists of 14 years’ experience within four/five star hotels, predominantly food and beverage management.
Paul, said: "This assisted with developing my skills and knowledge within a range of areas in hospitality including accommodation, financial accounting and food/beverage service. In addition my international experience provided a unique insight into hospitality within a different country, observing varied approaches to food and beverage standards and service. I was predominantly based in Martha's Vineyard, America and this provided invaluable experience to develop my skills, knowledge and expertise within the hospitality industry.
"I am a young, enthusiastic and determined individual with an extensive range of industrial experience within the hospitality sector. I firmly believe that my experience working for MacDonald Hotels - a prestigious Scottish hotel group - and working abroad on the island of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts, America, combined with my teaching experience both at South Lanarkshire College and Tennent's Training Academy, ensures that I have a lot to offer the Hospitality and Salon Services Department.

Paul, said: "Before pursuing a career in Hospitality, I was once an aspiring young football player. At the tender age of 16, I was signed to Heart of Midlothian Football Club. However like many aspiring young football players, I didn’t quite make it and soon changed my career aims."
