Linda White (51) from Grangemouth recently completed the NC Working With Communities course, which has instilled a new found belief in herself and her abilities.
She said: “What I loved the most about the course was achieving what I thought wasn’t possible as an older student. I lacked belief in myself, but with support and encouragement from other students on the course, as well as from all the staff and tutors, helped make this possible.
“I initially chose to study at Forth Valley College as it was the nearest college to my hometown, and it offered a course that could help me progress my future career goal.
“I must say that the facilities at FVC are ideal for all students and the lecturers are more than helpful. I have learned about things I would never have research beforehand and enjoyed the group work, so it really has benefited me.
“Studying at the College has helped me with the tools to progress forward with my next step as well as providing me with practical experience through work placement.
“I would recommend the course, especially for the group work, helpful tutors, and the fact that you receive plenty of learning support if required. In fact the best bit for me has been the support I have received from all staff and tutors.
“As a result of my positive experience, I have already recommended the course and the College to others.”
