I was then offered teaching hours and for a few years juggled technician/teaching and salon work until, I was successful in gaining a full-time lecturing post within the department.

"I have also trained in a variety of specialist skills such as hot stones massage/tanning/ear piercing/eyelash extensions/and a variety of training in facial product houses, most recently Eve Taylor – the College supplier. I recently completed a PDA in teaching further education.

"People should use our salons because we aim to offer an equivalent high street service at a discounted price and we are friendly, open and accommodating. By using our salons to receive your hair and beauty treatments, clients become an important cog in the wheel of our students' successes, giving them a true reflection of salon work and contributing to our realistic working environment."
