Ellen Milne (20) from Falkirk is currently studying for an Instrument/Electrical Engineering Modern Apprenticeship through INEOS, which she is due to complete in August 2017.
She works at the Power Station at INEOS Grangemouth and has the role of instrument/electrical technician.
Ellen, said: “I chose to study at Forth Valley College as there is a high standard of teaching for the subjects involved in the apprenticeship, with most of the lecturers having on site experience.
“The facilities are all relatable to what is seen on site and are of a very high quality. Most of the lecturers are very experienced in their field and are extremely helpful and approachable when it comes to any issues.
“The physical hands on skills learned at the College were directly relatable to what would be expected of my work on site. The equipment was the same and so made the step to working on site less of a jump.
“The College will provide me with skills to gain the qualifications that I will require in order to complete my apprenticeship. It has also provided support for any issues I faced.
“I would recommend the College because the facilities are top of the range and the courses are set out well. The best bit for me was using the mini simulation plant we got to work on during the summer at the College."
