Hospitality student Declan McBlain can’t wait to start his HNC Hospitality Management course.
Based at the Forth Valley College Stirling Campus the City and Guilds Professional Food and Beverage Service Level 3 course student feels that the training he receives at the college is preparing him well for a career in the industry and that the recent National Waiters Day was the perfect vehicle to promote FVC’s range of courses in this field.

Declan (23) from Stirling is now gearing up to return next year on the HNC Hospitality Management course. He said: “The course I am on is great if you are looking to start off in the hospitality sector as it give you a great foundation of what it will be like working in the industry.
“The facilities and the lecturers are great and the food at the Gallery is modern and contemporary. Everything is up to date and the experience studying here gives you a great feel of what it is like.
“Outwith the college I work at a couple of restaurants in Stirling in a supervisory role and also making cocktails so I know that the training at FVC is very good and relevant.
“I would definitely recommend the college and I am now looking forward to the HNC course as I would one day like to be an area manager of a big hotel chain. Gaining a qualification here at the college can help me progress in my career.”
