Bradley McFarlane (18) from Falkirk studied for the HNC Cyber Security course at FVC’s Falkirk Campus – which helped him secure an internship at OBASHI, world leading dataflow experts.
He said: “I choose to study at FVC because the lecturers are very helpful. There are also lots of good facilities, the campus is clean and well maintained and it has Apple-mac computers and access to great software such as Microsoft Azure and Oracle Academy
“My experience of studying at the college has benefited as I was able to obtain an internship at OBASHI because the college taught us how to use their software. Then through my experience at OBASHI and the skills I learned at College, I was able to secure a Modern Apprenticeship with INEOS.
“Forth Valley College helped me move on to the next step in my career as they offered a great variety of courses that allow for continuous progression. I would recommend the College to other people interested this area as all of the lecturers are great and really helpful, they also have connections with local IT companies such as Oracle and OBASHI, which is very useful.
“The best bit for me has been the ethical hacking unit in my course as it was extremely fun and interesting.”
Summing up his experience at Forth Valley College in three words, Bradley, said: “Interesting, fun and enjoyable.”
