Our annual creative learning conference is back - this time, with a twist!
Creative learning meets Dragons’ Den is the focus for this year’s event, which will take place on Wednesday 16 August 2017 from 9am – 4.30pm at our Stirling Campus.
Working collaboratively with colleagues from across the college, teams will complete a series of ‘sprint thinking’ tasks and develop big ideas for creative learning. After a fast paced and highly competitive morning, a number of teams will win the opportunity to take their ideas into the ‘Dragons' Den’ and pitch them to our very own panel of industry and education ‘Dragons’.
The day will begin at 9am with a welcome and keynote address from Principal Dr Ken Thomson, who is very much looking forward to seeing all lecturing staff, Curriculum Managers, Heads of Department and staff and managers with learning related roles.
Parking to the front and rear of the campus is on a first come, first serve basis.
Over spill parking will be at the Castleview Park and Ride and the college minibus will shuttle staff to and from the campus from 8.20 to 8.50am and from 4.45 pm to 5.15pm. Directions to the Castleview overspill carpark can be found here.
Please note the church car park is not an option nor will parking on the pavements or on non-designated parking areas be allowed. Parking wardens will be in operation. We would encourage you to utilise the College’s Lift Share scheme which can be found here, or come by public transport where possible. You can access helpful links here to help with your commute to the Stirling Campus.
Tea and coffee will be available up to 8.55am and the keynote address will commence at 9am sharp in the main refectory.
Staff are required to check in at the reception area by no later than 9.00am and if you wish refreshments before starting you will need to check in earlier.
When checking in you will be allocated your team number, meeting room as your base for the day and your lunch time slot. You will find instructions waiting for you in your assigned team meeting room once the keynote address has concluded.
From there, just have fun and we hope you find the day interesting and useful.
