Learners can cover a maximum of 5 days per term with a self certificate. Self certificates must be completed on the first day you return to college. If you are absent for a longer period of time, learners are reminded that they will be required to provide a medical certificate from their Doctor or Health Care professional.
Appointments should be made out with timetabled classes. Emergency appointments, hospital appointments and court citations do not need to be covered with a self certificate, however must be evidenced on letter headed paper and given to Student Finance prior to the date of absence.
