Why FVC:
FVC is my local college in fact it's just across the road from me. It suited exactly what I was looking for course-wise and had a great reputation for Beauty Therapy courses.
Favourite Moment:
I am extremely proud of completing my graded unit this year.
Chosen Career:
I hope to start my own business next year and make a success of it within five years. I also hope in the future to do a teaching degree and maybe even come back and lecture in Beauty Therapy at FVC.
Expected:
I expected the whole practical side of the course.
Unexpected:
What I didn't expect was the way we have to explore the depths of the anatomy and physiology of the human body and the physics and science behind how the machines we use work. It was all really interesting and useful. People should understand Beauty Therapy is much, much more than just polishing nails as many people think - the industry is very professional and intensive.
AOQ:
It's been a difficult year for me as I had an unexpected bereavement in my family which really hit me hard. At one point I was ready for walking away from the course, but the lecturers at FVC were absolutely brilliant and offered me great support. If it wasn't for them I would not still be here.
