Why FVC:
FVC has been established in the area for a long time and I had friends who had done an NQ in Sound Production. They told me the lecturers were really, really friendly and taught the course well.
Favourite Moment:
Getting to use the recording studio and equipment has to be the best moment for me so far - I really enjoy that.
Chosen Career:
At some stage I would like to work for myself and run my own recording studio. I have always been into music having played the guitar for six years and being in bands. About two and a half years ago I went to a studio for the first time and I realized that sound production was what I wanted to do.
Expected:
I really expected to enjoy myself, because it was the ideal course for me and a couple of my friends were already here so I knew it would not be awkward.
Unexpected:
I did not expect there to be so much mathematics and theory to the course as there was. Though to be honest I quite enjoy all that as well.
AOQ:
The staff have been really helpful and they encourage you all the way. I'm hoping to go on to university after I complete my course, but what FVC has definitely done is prepare me for work - they teach you how to network and how to find funding to set up you own business which will be really useful.
