Workstart Course
I chose FVC because it had the further education course I needed.
Sitting in the student union with my friends just talking were always great moments while I was at FVC, but I was also filmed here by Scottish Television when they were doing a story on World Down's Syndrome Day.
I really want to be a waitress and FVC have helped me really prepare for finding work with their vocational awareness and development classes which helped me prepare my CV.
I expected it to be really different from school - you get more freedom here and there are no bells.
I was a wee bit scared when I first started at college as people were very quiet, but I settled in pretty quickly.
I really enjoyed my time here and I would recommend the college to anyone. The staff were really fantastic and studying here has helped me with my work as a trainer with Down's Syndrome Scotland. I travel around Scotland giving presentations and talks to get the message across that people with Down's Syndrome are the same as everyone else.
