Any Time, Any Place, Any Where, For New HR Courses

Forth Valley College now offers the full range of CIPD (Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development) qualifications – any time, any place anywhere, via flexible blended learning.

The flexible courses for HR professionals allow busy career oriented learners to study around their hectic work schedule out-with the college, as demonstrated by FVC Business lecturer Jennifer Hogarth (pictured) who has already completed her own professional CIPD qualifications.

Jennifer from Falkirk, who currently teaches on all the CIPD programmes is one of the first business lecturers in Scotland to see her students graduate with the new Foundation Level Certificate in Human Resource Practice and Learning and Development Practice.

Jennifer said:

“Having completed CIPD qualifications on a flexible basis myself I know from experience how valuable they can be, and how useful it is to be able to study outside of conventional college hours and even in unconventional settings. Not only are students learning the theory, but they will be constantly transferring and contextualising their newfound skills and knowledge to work situations – so CIPD students will see immediate results in their professional lives.”

FVC is now one of the few colleges in the country to offer Foundation Level Certificates in HR Practice and Learning Development Practice, plus the new Intermediate Level Certificate in HR Management.

In addition, the college delivers the Advanced Level Certificate and Diploma in HR Management, which provides the knowledge required for professional Membership of CIPD (MCIPD). The provision of learning materials electronically is a feature of all programmes.

The flexible learning system has proved to be very popular with students who are also juggling full-time employment and family responsibilities and we recognise how important this is.
