Stirling Libraries Are Talking Your Language

Forth Valley College and Stirling Council have linked up once again to offer a great learning opportunity which will leave you the exact opposite of speechless!

Languages@ The Library is an a unique initiative offering anyone interested in learning a new language the chance to do so either at their local library, or as the emphasis is on flexibility, the sessions can be studied at home through a computer and headphones combination.

At least 120 different languages are on offer at four different levels – Beginners, Beginners Plus, Intermediate and Language for Business – and will last a total of 20 hours per course.

Lisa MacLaren FVC Flexible Learning Coordinator, said: “We are excited at teaming up with Stirling Council’s Library Services once again to offer a range of language courses. The flexible nature of these courses will appeal to those wishing to learn basic phrases before going on holiday as well as to businessmen and women keen to speak the language of potential clients and customers.
“We would be delighted to welcome anyone interested in learning a new language to come along to our mini taster sessions next week to find out more.”

Run through the continuous Learn@ The Library initiative, the first mini session will be free with subsequent courses costing £20.
