Queen Presents Jim with MBE
Former Forth Valley College lecturer Jim Weir travelled to Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh recently to keep a Royal Appointment.
Her Majesty the Queen officially presented Jim (65) from Stenhousemuir with his MBE for Services to Further Education in Clackmannanshire, on Tuesday July 13th.
The former Construction Lecturer at FVC’s Clackmannanshire Campus and member of Bowmar Pipe Band said: “Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would ever meet the Queen! It was a fabulous day, absolutely magical.
“It was a double celebration as on that day it was the 48th anniversary of the day that I actually met my wife Marion. So it was great that I was there with my family to celebrate by having a few glasses of champagne.”
