Staff bash through Bing Blazer event

Fun and games – as well as keeping fit – was the order of the day for Forth Valley College staff who took part in the Bing Blazer event recently.

Steve Fleming, Laurence Ferguson, Stephen Mitchell and Evelyn Burgees were the intrepid staff who took part in the 11km obstacle race at Harburn House, West Calder on Saturday 20 May.

These excellent photos of them taking part in the event were taken by Bing Blazer photographers.

Alloa Campus Gym Assistant, Steve Fleming, said:

“The event was run very well and the course layout was great. We all had a great laugh and despite the rain, our spirits remained high. The obstacles ranged from monkey bars, wading chest high through a pond, ninja rings and being covered with ink dust at the finishing line.

“We have a wee break now before our next event which will be Rough Runner. This will take place on the weekend of 5 and 6 of August. We seem to have a few more members of staff who are interested and who have already signed up. We are trying to encourage more and more staff to get involved in these events, showing that you don’t need to be the fittest to do them. It’s all for fun.”
