Students at Forth Valley College focused on fun this week as well as their courses, as they immersed themselves in Freshers’ Fair.

Packed with information and advice stalls, freebies, entertainment and fun, the events – held on Tuesday 20 September at Falkirk, Wednesday 21 at Stirling and Thursday 22 at Alloa – were organised by the FVC Student Association and had something to offer for students of all tastes and interests.

A beach theme certainly struck a chord with loads of students who wore shorts, Hawaiian shorts and sunglasses and passed the odd beach ball around during the fairs. Other focal points included mocktails, photo backdrops and props for selfies.

Alan Buchan, President of the FVC Student Association said:

“We always have a great response from the students to our Freshers’ Fairs and this year has been no exception. The whole point is to enhance the enjoyment factor of life at college and to inform, entertain and have a little bit of fun, as students settle into their studies for the year ahead, and I think we have done that.”
