Cycling Friendly Status renewed at Stirling Campus

Cycling Scotland have renewed Forth Valley College’s Stirling Campus Cycling Friendly Status… with Distinction!

This programme run by Cycling Scotland supports colleges and universities to promote cycling as a healthy and sustainable travel option for students and staff, and Forth Valley College’s Falkirk Campus also has the status. Moves are afoot to try and get the same accreditation for the Alloa Campus.

Aileen Webster, FVC’s Active Travel Coordinator, said: “Big congratulations to the Active Travel Team! It's really rewarding to see that Forth Valley College is still putting in a lot of effort to encourage and improve access to active travel, helping students and staff stay active, support their mental health and save on transport costs.

“Campuses have certainly faced challenges to get back to pre-pandemic levels of engagement, so a big well done to everyone involved on still providing such a high level of service. There are excellent active travel activities going on over the coming months, and I encourage everyone to please follow the Active Travel Teams page for more information and check e.focus and Sharepoint for updates.”
