How to Apply

Having checked the courses we have on offer you may now wish to apply.  At Forth Valley College this is an easy and straight forward process. 

First, you should take the time to read the information on the international section of the college website and then follow the step by step instructions below on how to apply.

Please note that as an International student, you can only apply for a full-time course which is over 15 hours study per week.

Making an application

In order to process your application form quickly, we ask that you ensure that you have completed the form fully and also submit the relevant documentation along with your form (see list below), failing to do this, will result in a delay in processing your application.  Completed forms and supporting documentation should be sent by post to the college or by emailing international@forthvalley.ac.uk

Step-By-Step Instructions

  1. Complete a college application form (if this form does not work, please click here)
  2. Collate all supporting evidence (shown above)
  3. Send all documentation along with application to the Student Records Department
  4. You will then be interviewed, in person or via telephone
  5. You will then be informed of the decision
  6. If you receive a conditional offer - you will be required to pay a deposit of £1,000 and meet any other conditions of the offer
  7. You will then arrange for the conditions to be met
  8. An unconditional offer along with a confirmation of acceptance letter will be sent to you in order for you to apply for your visa
  9. You should then apply for study visa at www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk
  10. You should alert the College of your flight and arrival details
  11. The International Support Co-ordinator will arrange to meet with you as soon as you arrive into the UK to introduce themselves and go through the welfare checklist
  12. You will then arrange to pay 50% of the course fees
  13. Begin college

Closing date for International Applications is: 31st January 2013
