Induction Programme

International Students are provided with a comprehensive induction programme when they arrive at College which is tailored as much as possible to accommodate their individual requirements. The induction programme includes:

Campus Tour:   

Students are given a tour of the campus where they are studying and will be shown the location of the Learning Resource Centre, Catering facilities, Gym etc

Introduction to Course Lecturers:   

Students are given the opportunity to meet their course leader and lecturers and will receive their timetable and other course information

Faith Information:  

The Equalities team holds information and contact details of many different faith beliefs.  We are able to provide this information along with details of how you can access these services

Obtaining a National Insurance number:

we provide help with applying for a National Insurance number, which you will need if you want to work part time whilst studying in the UK

Opening a bank account:  

we will assist students who require a UK bank account and can arrange for information to be given to you about the accounts you are able to open

Registering with a GP (doctor):  

We assist our students to register with a local doctor and inform them of what they need to do if they require the services of a doctor, dentist, or what to do in any other emergency.

Local area information:  

We will provide our students with information regarding the local area and visitor attractions.
