A New Way to Experience Learning
More and more employers are now putting work experience at the top of the list when recruiting new employees. Stay ahead of the game and get the skills you need to get a job with a fantastic new learning opportunity offered by Forth Valley College.
This exciting New College Learning Programme will offer you the chance to undertake up to a 17 week work placement with a local employer. This will offer you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and also complete Vocational Qualification (VQ) Units relevant to your placement.
You will also work towards a City and Guilds Certificate in Employability and Personal Development (Minimum Level 1). This nationally recognised qualification will provide you with a range of skills and knowledge to help you both secure a job and achieve success in the workplace.
Opportunities are available with a range of employers across the Forth Valley area and you will be placed with the organisation which best meets your future aspirations. The college-based element of the programme will be based at one of our College Campus sites in either Alloa, Falkirk or Stirling.
The New College Learning Programme is fully funded and depending on individual circumstances is eligible for Education Maintenance Allowance or bursary funding.
Programmes will be available throughout the year, with applications now open for the next programme start date on Monday 22 April 2013.
The deadline for applications for this intake is Friday 5 April 2013. There will be a recruitment evening on Thursday 11 April 2013.
