NEW COLLEGE LEARNING PROGRAMME
The exciting New College Learning Programme has been designed to help you develop a range of practical and employability skills. Although the course appears under the Department of Business, the programme offers a wide range of opportunities which could span across all college departments. The programme will offer you the chance to undertake a 17 week work placement with a local employer. This will offer you the opportunity to gain valuable work experience and also complete Vocational Qualification (VQ) Units relevant to your placement. You will also work towards a City and Guilds Certificate in Employability and Personal Development (Minimum Level 1).
This nationally recognised qualification will provide you with a range of skills and knowledge to help you both secure a job and achieve success in the workplace. Opportunities are available with a range of employers across the Forth Valley area and you will be placed with the organisation which best meets your future aspirations. The college based element will be based at one of college campuses in either Alloa, Falkirk or Stirling (not only Falkirk as indicated on the right). The programme is fully funded and depending on individual circumstances is eligible for Education Maintenance Allowance or bursary funding.
Please note: If you would like to apply for this programme but have previously applied for two courses at Forth Valley College please contact our Students Records Team in the first instance by emailing student.records@forthvalley.ac.uk
