HND Furniture Restoration
This course aims to provide an opportunity for individuals from a range of educational backgrounds to prepare for a professional career in furniture restoration. It provides students with specialist competencies in areas such as veneering, upholstery and decoration and a strong focus is placed on the skills and competencies required to establish their own business. All learners will be required to use the College's Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle)
to complete course work, personal learning plans and work diary.

NQ Furniture Crafts
This course enables the learner to pursue a career in the furniture crafts industry, by giving them an awareness of
current furniture craft processes and developing core skills. It also provides articulation to higher level study.
The programme will encourage a positive attitude and also develop valuable workplace skills. To achieve this, students
will learn about the skills and attitudes that employers are looking for, how to work effectively with others and what
to expect when out in the workplace. All learners will be required to use the College's Virtual Learning Environment
(Moodle) to complete course work, personal learning plans and work diary. College timetable will be made up of
practical workshops, classroom based learning sessions and directed study using ICT for learning.
