HND Architectural Technology
This course provides learners with a sound understanding of scientific and construction principles and their relevance
to the field of Architectural Technology. It also enables students to achieve the skills associated with the drawing,
design and specification of building projects. The award achieved is recognised by professionals in the industry
and therefore enables students to take up employment at higher technician level. All learners will be required to use
the College's Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) to complete course work, personal learning plans and
work diary.

HND Computer Aided Architectural Design & Technology
This course provides learners with a comprehensive range of Computer Aided Design and Architectural Technology related skills and knowledge. It enables students to achieve skills associated with Computer Aided Design and specification relative to a range of Architectural and Building projects. The award achieved is recognised by professionals in the industry and therefore enables learners to take up employment at higher technician level. All learners will be required to use The College's Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) to complete course work, personal learning plans and work diary. The course comprises 30 credits assessed on a continuous basis over a two year period. It is recommended applicants should have a sound knowledge of and be competent users of ICT equipment.

NC Computer Aided Design and Technology
The NC in Computer Aided Design and Technology programme at SCQF level 6 has been designed to provide candidates with the knowledge, understanding and skills required to progress to the HND Computer Aided Architectural Design and Technology or related higher education course or employment. All learners will be required to use the College's Virtual Learning Environment (Moodle) to complete course work, personal learning plans and work diary.
Specific aims include:
Preparing candidates for employment as an architectural technician or product designer
Provide candidates with a range of knowledge and skills such as computer graphics, drawing office practice, 3D CAD
Provide a choice of optional Units that will allow candidates to develop in other areas relevant to future employment or progression to HNC/D in Computer Aided Draughting and Design or other disciplines within the suite of Built Environment qualifications
