Freedom of Information

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 aims to increase openness and accountability in government and across the public sector by ensuring the public have the right to access information held by public authorities - including Forth Valley College.

The Act came into force from 1st January 2005

The Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 requires public authorities to adopt and maintain a publication scheme, setting out information that is published by the authority.

Forth Valley College has adopted the Scottish Information Commissioner's Model Publication Scheme to ensure maximum transparency in the provision of information.

In line with the requirements of the Model Publication Scheme, the College has produced a Forth Valley College Model Publication Scheme Guide to act as a guide for individuals seeking information
